About The Pageant

The Pageant

The Pageant is a nightclub and concert venue in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s located near the Eastern end of the city’s Delmar Loop, which is a hotbed of food, culture, and entertainment within St. Louis. The Pageant opened in 2000 and is named after the Pageant movie theater, which was an old theater that was once located just a few blocks away from where the current Pageant club sits. The venue has a unique layout that makes it an intimate music venue, although it can hold up to 2,300 people during performances.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at The Pageant

The Pageant offers general admission tickets that will get visitors close to the stage and allow them to dance during shows. However, there are also three levels of seating that have both chairs and bar stools, allowing some guests to sit down during shows. Getting seats in the first tier is the preferred option, as the middle part of the second tier is interrupted by the soundboard. Naturally, the first tier is also closer to the stage. There are also five different sections of seats on the balcony, with the center section offering the most straight-ahead view of the performer.

Tips for Visiting The Pageant

Even guests with general admission tickets may be able to use the chairs and tables behind the dance floor, depending on the show. However, it’s always first come, first serve, and saving seats isn’t permitted at The Pageant. It’s also important to keep in mind that configuration at The Pageant can change from one show to the next depending on the performer. It’s also worth noting that Suite 100 and The Halo Bar, which are located adjacent to The Pageant, can provide ticket holders with early entry, although this is first-come, first-serve, and space can be limited.

Food to Try at The Pageant

Suite 100 is primarily used to sell merchandise related to performers, although it also sells a small selection of snacks. Meanwhile, The Halo is a cocktail lounge and full bar that is open to ticket holders before, during, and after most shows held at The Pageant. However, food options at both locations are limited. On the bright side, The Pageant allows outside food into the venue, although not outside drinks. There is no shortage of dining options along Delmar Boulevard, which is where The Pageant is located, so visitors shouldn’t have a problem finding a place to eat before or after a show.
