About Nissan Stadium

Nissan Stadium

Located on the banks of the mighty Cumberland River and sporting a breathtaking view of downtown Nashville’s skyline, Nissan Stadium is a 69,000-seat multi-use outdoor arena that is one of the premier venues in the entire Tennessee region. There is a lot to love about this down-home stadium – from pro football to major music festivals to all other sorts of events, Nissan Stadium is the place to be!

The History of Nissan Stadium

Built and opened in 1999, Nissan Stadium was the clinching factor for the NFL’s Houston Oilers’ decision to relocate to Nashville, where they would be known as the Tennessee Titans from then on. Originally known as Adelphia Coliseum, it’s gone through a number of name changes over the years, with Nissan purchasing naming rights in 2015. Rough and tumble like its team, this stadium has survived tornadoes trying to pull it down during construction and major flooding trying to drown it out, but nothing seems to be able to shut down Nissan Stadium for good.

What Makes Nissan Stadium Events So Special?

Nissan Stadium events are always fun – and more likely than not will end with a win for the Titans. The move from Houston to Nashville galvanized the team, and they have a 96-69 regular-season record when playing at home as of 2019. If that’s not enough of a reason to take in a game at Nissan Stadium, we don’t know what to tell you!
