About Heritage Bank Center

Heritage Bank Center

Heritage Bank Center is a sports and music venue in Cincinnati. It’s located next to the Great American Ball Park, the home of the Cincinnati Reds, and on the banks of the Ohio River. The venue opened in 1975 when it was called Riverfront Coliseum and currently serves as the full-time home of the Cincinnati Cyclones of the East Coast Hockey League. But it’s also used to host basketball games, UFC fights, concerts, and other sports and entertainment events. For hockey games, Heritage Bank Center has a capacity of over 14,000 fans, while concerts can hold over 17,000 people.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at Heritage Bank Center

For hockey games, sections 110 and 130 are the ideal locations, as they are at center ice. Section 110 is behind the team benches, while section 130 is behind the penalty box. Sections 211 and 231 are also located in the middle of the arena but at a higher elevation. These are the same sections that will put fans close to the center of the court during basketball games. For concerts at Heritage Bank Center, there are six sections of floor seats that will provide a close view of the performer. Sections 114 and 126 will also be close to the stage, albeit from a side angle. Meanwhile, sections 101, 102, 139, 140, and 201 will have a direct view of the stage but at a distance.

Tips for Visiting Heritage Bank Center

The location of Heritage Bank Center in downtown Cincinnati is part of its appeal. It’s within walking distance of many of the city’s attractions, as well as many bars and restaurants. There are also parking garages in close proximity to the arena, so attending a game or concert doesn’t involve a long walk. However, visitors should consider parking across the river in northern Kentucky and walking across the Purple People Bridge, which is a pedestrian bridge connecting Cincinnati with Newport, Kentucky. It offers great views of the river and downtown Cincinnati. From there, visitors just have to walk through a riverside park to get to Heritage Bank Center.

Food to Try at Heritage Bank Center

In addition to the restaurants in downtown Cincinnati, there are several notable dining options inside Heritage Bank Center. The arena has its own restaurant called the All-Access Bar & Grill, which is located on the fifth level and has a nice view of the playing surface. The menu is a little limited but includes burgers, salads, and a taco bowl. Along the concourse, there are plenty of options, including Cincinnati’s famous Skyline Chili, as well as Skyline Chili Nachos and Skyline Chili Coneys. There are also traditional burgers, hot dogs, nachos, and pizza, as well as a bottomless bag of popcorn for just $10.
