About Freedom Mortgage Pavilion

BB&T Pavilion

Just across the Delaware River, a stone’s throw from Philadelphia sits the BB&T Pavilion - one of the greatest reasons to visit Camden, New Jersey. This multi-use arena is unique in that it’s not just another outdoor amphitheater – it converts into an indoor concert venue in the winter months. That means it’s rock-and-roll all year ’round at the BB&T Pavilion!

History of the BB&T Pavilion

Opening in June of 1995, the BB&T Pavilion, is one of the jewels of the Camden Waterfront entertainment district, but when it opened it was known as the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Centre. Yes, that Blockbuster. Feeling old yet? Don’t worry, the venue would go through another few name changes before settling on its current name in 2016.

What Makes BB&T Pavilion Events So Special?

The BB&T Pavilion is super-close and easy to get to for anyone living in the Philly area, which makes it a great venue choice. The fact that it’s a year-round concert arena means you’ll never have to wait until spring to catch a great live show, and with its location in the heart of Camden’s tourist center, there’s always something to do nearby. Whether it’s chilling out in Wiggins Park, climbing aboard the WWII-era battleship the USS New Jersey, or visiting the Adventure Aquarium, you’ve got one hell of a day planned for your next trip to Camden!
