About Climate Pledge Arena
KeyArena
KeyArena, which is also known as the Seattle Center Arena is a multi-purpose KeyArena that’s located north of downtown Seattle at the site of the 1962 World’s Fair. The arena was the former home of the Seattle SuperSonics NBA franchise. Following a large renovation project that’s set to conclude in 2021, KeyArena is the current home of the Seattle Storm of the WNBA, the Seattle Redhawks men’s college basketball team, and Seattle’s NHL franchise. The KeyArena is also used to host a variety of other events, including roller derby, e-sports events, and concerts.
Where are the Best Places to Sit at KeyArena
For KeyArena sporting events, sections 13-15 will get you closest to the action. Meanwhile, sections 1, 27, and 28 are located closest to the benches during basketball games. For the best overall views of the playing surface, the recommended sections are 101 and 113-115. Within those sections, rows 11-15 and 21-25 are at an ideal elevation for sightlines as well as access to the concourse.
If you’re attending a KeyArena concert, floor sections AA and BB will provide the closest views of the stage and the performer. Outside of floor seats, sections 113-115 and 101 will get you close to the stage with some elevation to improve the view of the performer. These sections also have traditional stadium seats, which are not available with floor seating. Finally, sections 106-108 will put you directly across from the stage, albeit with some distance between the performer and your seats.
Tips for Visiting KeyArena
The location of KeyArena makes it ideal for doing some sightseeing either before or after an event at the KeyArena. In addition to great restaurants and coffee shops located nearby, KeyArena is also a short distance from some of Seattle’s top tourist attractions. This includes the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden, and Glass, the Pacific Science Center, and the Museum of Pop Culture. In fact, it’s possible to see most of Seattle’s top attractions the same day as an event at KeyArena.
Foods to Try at KeyArena
Following the renovation of KeyArena, there is a host of food and beverage options that rivals some of the world-class restaurants located not far from the KeyArena. There is also traditional stadium fare with a Seattle twist, including clam chowder, salmon sliders, and flatbread pizza.
